Frequently Asked Questions
What is the Dads' Club?
Established in 2008, the Parkview Dad's Club was created to increase paternal engagement at Parkview Elementary School. Initial projects included installing document cameras and projectors in classrooms. Since then, the group has created Parkview Trails, added playground markings, maintained the Ben Kins Center nature classroom, organizes annual pancake breakfasts, supports Moms' Night Out events, and coordinates the Spooktacular Halloween celebration. Fundraising has supported technology purchases including iPads and Chromebooks, plus furniture for the music room.
What is required if I join?
Communication is primarily through email. The club director sends out requests and members respond if they can participate. Just show up to events when you can — there's no strict attendance requirement.
Are there any membership dues?
Membership is completely free! New members receive an orange Dads' Club t-shirt to wear at events.
